Hopefully your 2009 is off to a great start!
We’re glad to be back on track after Murphy’s Law seemed to strike on Christmas Eve. Thanks to all on our update list who have been patiently waiting for normal operating hours to take effect. They’re coming soon!
The new roast this week is the Honduras Miel Cafe. This means “Honey Coffee” in Spanish. Yesterday I visited some of the taste testers on the coffee guinea pig list, and the response was overwhelmingly positive to this coffee. It’s exceptionally smooth and clean finishing. Kind of an all-day long coffee, as someone put it. Interestingly, this is a coffee that seems to get milder tasting as it’s roasted darker. Though it’s roasted close to a French roast, it actually tastes quite mild. I’m trying to keep brewed samples available, so the next time you’re in you’ll have to try it out.
I plan on being around in the afternoons the rest of the week, so if you’re downtown, please stop in a say, “Hello!”
Also, I had a funny experience at Christmas with my own Mom. I tried to give her one of the logo coffee mugs, but when she removed it from the box, we discovered that it didn’t have any printing on it.
Nobody has returned any of these, but in the event that you purchased a mug as a gift for someone, you might ask them if it actually was properly printed. Otherwise, they might think you just gave them a nice, shiny silver mug! Of course, let me know and I’ll take care of you.
