Happy Groundhog’s Day!

For some people, today is a meaningless day just like any other day.  To me, it’s kind of my own internal New Years Day.  Major holidays seem to skew my perception of time but Groundhog Day is always an unexpected holiday, making it a good bookend for the last 365 days.

Anyway, in case you haven’t already heard, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow again, so winter is going to last another six weeks.

I’m pleased to announce that in the last few days I delivered the first shipments of your favorite Blacksmith Coffee to Scott’s Hometown Foods in Lindsborg, Garden of Eden Heavenly Meats & Groceries in Little River, and Lyons Thriftway in – you guessed it – Lyons.  We’ll be visiting each of these groceries over the next few weeks offering good ol’ fashioned drink samples.  In the meantime, thanks for shopping at these fine merchants and letting them know what your favorite Blacksmith Coffee is, and whether you prefer whole bean or ground coffee.

We’ll be open at the Blacksmith Shop this Saturday, February 7th from 9:00 am to 12:00 having a special sale on select coffees.  Come on by if you’re downtown.
